About CompareStockISA

We're here to make Stocks & Shares ISA platform fees transparent and easy to understand.

Our mission

We built CompareStockISA to make it easier to see what different Stocks & Shares ISA platforms really cost, all in one place. We're impartial and focused only on showing platform fees clearly, never on telling you where to invest.

The problem we solve

Charges for Stocks & Shares ISAs can be confusing. Some platforms charge flat fees, others use percentages or tiered bands, and many add dealing charges and foreign exchange fees on top. That makes it hard to compare platforms fairly and understand the cost of your investments over time.

Complex fee structures

  • Flat fees vs percentage fees
  • Tiered pricing bands
  • Hard to understand dealing charges
  • Foreign exchange fees

How we help

We collect the fee data Stocks & Shares ISA platforms disclose, apply the same assumptions to each one, and model estimated costs from the information you enter. The results come back in one consistent format, so comparison is easier.

Our solution

  • Consistent estimated fee modelling
  • Side-by-side comparisons
  • Transparent assumptions
  • Easy-to-understand results

Our values

The principles behind everything we do.

Transparency

We're open about how the calculator works, what it assumes and where its data comes from.

Independence

Figures come from official fee disclosures. Platforms can't pay to change our data or comparisons.

User focus

Built to make complex fee structures easier to understand, with illustrative cost comparisons.

What we do

Four areas that keep the comparisons accurate and useful.

Data collection

Fee data from platforms' public websites, terms and fee schedules.

Cost modelling

Platform, dealing and FX charges, estimated from your inputs.

Fair comparison

One set of assumptions and one method for every platform.

Regular updates

We monitor platform fee changes and update the data when they move.
