Our calculator displays the estimated total costs of different UK stocks & shares ISA platforms based on your specific investment amount, trading frequency, and portfolio allocation. It shows estimatedplatform fees, dealing costs, and FX charges in a consistent format.

We use data from platform providers' public disclosures and apply consistent assumptions across all platforms. While we strive for accuracy, we recommend verifying all figures directly with the providers before making decisions.

The calculator assumes average trade sizes, applies your specified trading frequency, and treats funds as GBP-priced. It uses consistent FX rates and applies the same methodology across all platforms for fair comparison.

We update our data regularly as platforms publish new fee information. However, fees can change at any time, so always verify current rates directly with the platform providers.

We include major UK stocks & shares ISA platforms such as Hargreaves Lansdown, AJ Bell, Interactive Investor, Fidelity, and others. The list covers traditional brokers, modern fintech platforms, and bank platforms. We plan to add more platforms in the future.

Platform fees are modelled as flat fees, percentage fees, or tiered structures according to each provider's actual fee schedule. Dealing costs are applied per trade, and FX costs apply only to international assets.

Our calculator focuses on estimatedplatform, dealing and FX fees. Any fund management charges (OCF/TER) are not included as these vary by individual fund.

Shares and ETFs are treated as individual securities with dealing fees per trade. Funds are treated as GBP-priced with no FX costs. The calculator applies the appropriate fee structure for each asset type.

International shares and ETFs may incur FX costs depending on the platform. You can set your UK vs international allocation, and the calculator will apply appropriate FX charges where applicable.

Dealing fees are applied per trade based on your annual trading activity. Some platforms offer tiered pricing based on monthly trade volume, which we model accordingly.

Regular investing and dividend reinvestment is not included in our calculations. Most platforms offer this service for free, but some may charge fees. Check with individual providers for their specific policies and charges.
